Senior Manager of Product Development Department (Islamic Finance)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Manager of Product Development Platform to support the strategic development of Islamic finance in the Astana International Financial Centre. This role involves policy formulation, regulatory support, product development, and industry engagement to enhance AIFC’s position as a leading hub for Islamic finance.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the strategic development of Islamic finance within the AIFC.

• Contribute to policy formulation and regulatory enhancements for Islamic financial services.

• Assist in attracting and supporting Islamic financial institutions entering the AIFC.

• Facilitate the licensing and regulatory approval process in coordination with the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA).

• Develop new Islamic financial products catering to retail and corporate markets.

• Lead the structuring and development of Shari’ah-compliant capital market instruments (Sukuk, ETFs, etc.).

• Organize international events, including training sessions, workshops, and presentations on Islamic finance.

• Develop partnerships with key industry players and regulators to promote Islamic finance knowledge-sharing.

Qualifications & requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Islamic Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related fields.

• Certifications from AAOIFI, CIBAFI, BIBF, INCEIF, or other recognized Islamic finance institutions are highly preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.

• Strong understanding of banking and capital markets, including Shari’ah-compliant instruments.

• Knowledge of Shari’ah governance frameworks (AAOIFI, IFSB standards).

• Familiarity with AIFC and global Islamic finance regulations.

• Fluent in English, Kazakh, and Russian.

• Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Level).

• Financial & Data Analysis Tools (CRM & Project Management Tools).

• Digital & Communication Tools.

• Data Visualization & Reporting.

• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

• Ability to produce high-quality work in a timely manner.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
