We are currently looking for an experienced Associate (Senior Consultant) to join our M&A team in Astana / Almaty. With a dynamic team and opportunities for professional growth, this role will help you expand your expertise in M&A while making a difference for top-tier clients.
As our M&A Associate, you will:
- M&A Process Support: Provide full-scope technical support and actively participate at all stages of the M&A process, including data collection, financial modeling, indicative pricing, and structuring key transaction documents.
- Data Room and Due Diligence Coordination: Coordinate the preparation of data rooms and manage the due diligence process through regular interaction with clients, investors, and due diligence teams.
- Business Development Support: Contribute to business development by gathering and analyzing market information, preparing marketing materials (pitches, proposals, company profiles), and identifying potential transaction targets.
- Coaching and Mentorship: Coach junior team members on the specifics of the M&A process and monitor their performance to ensure high-quality work.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research, including analyzing key drivers, players, trends, and potential targets relevant to ongoing and future transactions.
You’re the perfect match for this role if you:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with a strong academic record.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A advisory, or working at an investment bank, Big 4 firm, or large corporation.
- Possess strong knowledge of financial accounting, valuation methodologies, and key research sources like MergerMarket, Thomson Financial, Bloomberg, and Factiva.
- Are fluent in English and Russian, with Kazakh being an advantage.
- Adapt quickly to changing environments and demonstrate strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Are driven, with a creative mindset and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Hold ACCA or CFA certification (is a plus).
